China circumvents anti-dumping measures on plastic bags

The European Commission initiated an investigation concerning the possible circumvention of anti-dumping measures imposed by Council Regulation (EC) No 1425/2006 on imports of plastic bags from China. The investigation seeks to confirm the imports channelled via Xianmen Xing Xia Polymers, a Chinese company subject to a lower duty rate. The Comission Regulation (EU) No 748/2010, initiating the investigation, was published in the Official Journal of 19 August.
