The XXVIII PLASTICS SEMINAR, organised by APIP (the Portuguese Plastics Industry Association) will be held in Figueira da Foz (Portugal), from 15 to 17th November.

The first working day (16) will be dedicated to the energy management in the plastics industries. Following the intervention of the Secretary of State for Energy, the programme includes presentations on “multi-fuel offer” (electricity, natural gas, liquid fuels and lubricants from the same supplier) from Galp Energia, on the measurement and management of energy within the plastics converting industry (Tangram Technology). The programm includes several actual economic topics, as relevant as credit insurance and environmental responsibility insurance (AON Portugal), industy financing (CGD) and the internationalisation programme pursued by AICEP (the state agency for investment and foreign trade promotion).

The second working day will focus on materials and technologies and includes presentations on injection with artificial intelligence control (Fanuc Roboshot), metal replacement (Rhodia), Nanomaterials (Universidade do Minho), sustainability (Sabic), Co-design (TJ Moldes), IML in-mold labeling (Socem) and waste management (Correia & Correia).
